  • Lead Service Designer: Lausanne, Switzerland

    Experientia is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead service design projects from the Lausanne, HQ office. The Senior Service Designer will have experience leading a team of behavioral analysts and service modelers in research and service design projects lasting from one to several months in international environments.
    The ideal candidate will have excellent service design skills, with process oriented and methodical thinking, and experience in designing complex service ecosystems using a human-centered design methodology. Good knowledge of various qualitative research methods is required - including ethnographic observations, contextual interviews, heuristic and formative evaluations, usability testing and knowledge of how to translate these into the design process. They will have experience in analysis of field research results, creating research-based personas, customer journey maps, behavioral models and service models.


    Required


    At least 5 years' experience in service design, user experience research or user experience design.


    University and/or advanced degree(s) in Service Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or similar.


    Advanced English language skills. Italian, German or French also an advantage.


    Strong visual and verbal communication skills.


    Proficiency in a variety of design, motion, collaboration and prototyping sw tools.


    Strong ability to synthesize complex research findings into thematic insights that reflect diverse social, cultural and user contexts. Understanding of how and why services succeed or fail and ability to spot likely problems in strategy, positioning, customer journey engagement, touchpoints, interaction flow, or presentation before roll-out.


    Demonstrated ability to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

    The Lead Service Designer will:


    Excel in human-centered methodology, service design modeling, qualitative and ethnographic research approaches, ideate concepts and truly enjoy design


    Lead service design projects


    Understand the parameters of a design problem, and be able to create appropriate service design deliverables.


    Supervise, conduct and design ethnographic research (contextual observations and interviews) and integrate findings throughout the design process.


    Translate user research and usability findings into insights, behavioral models and tangible service models (personas, customer journey maps, opportunity maps, concept ideation etc.) and help the design team to transfer insights into tangible design concepts.


    Brainstorm on innovative concept solutions around given project themes.


    Conceptualize service maps and touchpoints from early ideas to detailed solutions.


    Identify tools, resources, methods, and techniques that evolve existing approaches for the larger Experientia community.


    Communicate with clients in project management and presentation activities. Must understand the business environment and what clients need to make something actionable.

  • Junior Usability Intern

    Junior Usability Intern: Turin, Italy


    Experientia, an international experience design consultancy, is looking for an junior usability intern for our Turin, Italian office, to support the Usability team. The ideal candidate will be able to understand how products meet user needs and behavior to improve user satisfaction. Should be able to help the Usability team to manage, conduct and report on usability tests and heuristic evaluations. The candidate, when necessary, may be involved in other activities related to the user-centered design process. Independent and collaborative work abilities are expected. Very good written and oral English skills. Other European languages are a plus. The internship lasts from 6 to 12 months and is paid. We prefer interns who are available for employment afterwards.


    Intern will help the team to:

    Identify the requirements of the test participants and write screeners for recruitment. Understand customer needs. Identify the right method for the usability test. Collaborate in drafting the test guide. Set up a lab room, even in the case of specific technical requirements. Observe and listen to participants during the test. Translate usability insights into engaging solutions. Collaborate in drafting the final test report. Apply testing insights to concept iteration. Finally, the candidate must be able to conduct heuristic evaluations for different products and services on multiple devices.


    Required skills:

    Must be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of UX researchers, interaction and service designers. Firm understanding of user-centered design processes: methodologies, roles, tasks, activities and deliverables. Must be able to work within deadlines

  • Medical Anthropologist - Research Designer

    The candidate should have a demonstrated experience in the healthcare industry, with a documented understanding of current challenges that the Pharma and Medtech industries are facing, in particular in relation to the necessity of addressing innovation demand from the customer experience perspective.

    The ideal candidate should be a passionate and authentic promoter of user-centred approaches with a good understanding of what patient centricity means in all phases of health solutions design and application: from clinical trial preparation through treatment application and care giving.

    The Experientia Medical Anthropologist associate / Service Designer will have to manage UX research projects to deliver findings, insights and recommendations to leading companies and innovation centres in the Pharma and Medtech industries (Experientia clients). S/He shall work in cooperation with UX and service designers in order to convey actionable results to the relevant teams of industry experts who are part of the Experientia clients teams.

    General Tasks

    • Preparation, presentation of project proposals to Experientia Healthcare prospect and existing clients.
    • Prepare and conduct fieldwork activities.
    • Analyze fieldwork results and findings
    • Prospect innovation opportunites and develop service models together with the relevant team
    • Lead the team in the field
    • Prepare workshops to present the research results and engage the relevant stakehoders in participatory activities
    • Contribute in the finalization of all deliverables
