Usability is one of the key concepts that inform all of our website designs, from the very beginning of concept development. We evaluate and improve the usability of clients’ current sites and sites under construction. When dealing with large and complex archipelagos of websites, we consider the organisation of the different services and touchpoints, evaluating the benefits of one monolithic website versus multiple, targeted sites.
Experientia uses a combination of expert evaluation (in which specialists identify potential usability problems) and usability testing with the target audience. Elements we evaluate include the graphic look and feel of the site, the ease of navigation, the filtering system, findability, labelling and appropriateness for the target audience’s vocabulary and skills.
