Putting People First, becoming a crucial industry news resource
10 December 2005
Last month, nearly 10,000 unique visitors consulted Putting People First (PPF), the experience design and innovation news aggregator blog maintained by Experientia partner Mark Vanderbeeken and recently featured in Business Week’s Innovation section and Fortune Magazine’s Innovation Forum.
Conceived as a non-commercial public service to the experience design community, PPF has gained a strong professional following with around 500 unique visitors a day. It is read by staff in such companies as Microsoft, Nokia, Philips, Steelcase, Sun Microsystems and Target (those are the ones we know of) and has a global readership.
More and more people are reading PPF through RSS feeders such as Bloglines and Newsgator, with about a third of PPF site visits originating from such services. Others visit it directly or through web searches.
PPF, which currently has over 600 posts, has launched several associated services, such as shared listings of experience design blogs, companies, email groups and events.
We are currently preparing a graphical and interface upgrade. The blog’s permanent address is (and will remain to be) www.experientia.com/blog.
