Design drawings and models
Design drawings and models embody design ideas and take them a step further in an iterative development process.
Both are done to scale and may include measurements (design drawings). They allow to assess possible user experiences.
Appearance models are refined three-dimensional prototypes, so finished that they appeared to be manufactured products.
Design embodiments can elicit:
- Responses to help evaluate alternative concepts and scenarios;
- Feedback to assist in assessment of alternatives to inform decision-making;
- Information for thinking ahead.
