This is true as long as there is not a conflict of interest by a direct competition.

I think there’s a difference between web UX companies like Adaptive Path (or my own small shop nForm in Canada) and people that are looking at holistic experience across channels.
Firms that come to mind in the latter category that I didn’t see above are Doblin, Jump, Conifer, Ziba, Stone Yamashita…that said, at nForm we are doing more and more outside of the web…
