Giovanni Buono

Senior UX consultant

My inability to use technological instruments and incomprehension of user interfaces led me towards usability studies, above all to help myself!

Giovanni Buono has been working in user experience for over ten years, innovating digital products and services by engaging final users in research, design and testing.

He has a master’s post graduate degree in technology and multimedia communication from COREP (Polytechnic of Torino, University of Torino, Italy).

His early experience varied from editing websites to graphic design, passing along the way through his first usability tests of mobile phone prototypes. He has worked for the LAU (Laboratory of Accessibility and Usability) at CSI Piemonte, where he principally worked on the usability and accessibility of web products for the public administration.

In Experientia since 2008, he creates proposals for potential clients; manages, conducts and reports on user-centered research methodologies such as usability testing, card sorting, contextual inquiries, competitive analysis, participatory design, and user requirements; and creates user experience deliverables, including usability testing reports, sitemaps, task analysis, click-through prototypes, mockups, storyboards, and other artifacts to describe the intended user experience.

My inability to use technological instruments and incomprehension of user interfaces led me towards usability studies, above all to help myself!
