Elena has 5 years professional experience in both consultancy and public sector services. Her qualifications include a BA in Sociology (Università degli studi di Trento) and a MSc in Sustainable Cities (King’s College London, UK). Since her master degree she has carried out EU and national policy evaluation research and coordinated stakeholder engagement activities aimed at policy making and program management. She has expertise in designing research tools such as surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups and workshops.


Elena has also experience in managing projects and large scale events and gained experience in developing partnerships and stakeholder networks. She has facilitated cross-sector joint work practices in complex organizations, European and research projects, with a specific focus in curating multi-disciplinary collaboration to define solutions, strategies and new policy options.


In her previous positions, Elena has worked across different policy areas including environment and public health, regional development, social innovation and community engagement, mobility and sustainable transport.

What's the most interesting thing about UX for you?

The fact that it gives priority to a human-centered approach in research and design processes, which maximizes the success of solutions.

Where have you lived?

I grew up in a small village in Mantova province (north-east of Italy), then Trento, then London, now Turin.
